Beside the Circus Medrano of Casartelli family , a guest in Hungary is another great spectacle...a traveling aquatic circus of Bellucci family with they great show called "Pirates ".At the moment circus is in Zalaegerszeg.

CIRCO EMBELL RIVA BLOCKED IN SIRIA!!!!!!

The artists of the circus Embell Riva are a few months in Syria for a tour, but at this time they live "a very dramatic situation." The owner of the circus, Roberto Bellucci, write a letter to the Italian Embassy in Damascus with a call for help "to the authorities' order to return immediately to the Italian convoy of Embell Riva in Italy." "Because of the current political situation in Syria we are no longer able to continue the tour. We are in serious economic trouble'. We can't work because the Syrian authorities denied us as the circus and a public place and therefore there is risk attacks. The circus is now in northern Syria, a relatively quiet at the moment, the borders between Iraq and Turkey: Bellucci family and about 70 employees of the circus are exactly Kameshli, 530 km from Tartus, the cities' ports of Syria where the circus would leave for Italy to Venice by ferry Visemar the Line. The companies' transport has assured for Saturday, April 30 departure from Tartous, while the subsequent departure on that date will be confirmed or not, depending on the situation."We are very concerned, although the people here have accepted us very well ; explains Roberto Bellucci - we are Italian, Abruzzi, 14 citizens of all residents in Rocca San Giovanni (Chieti), we are the owners of the Zoo-Safari. With us there are 6 women and 2 children aged 6 and 8 months born in Damascus during the tour. With the campers, trucks, animals and other equipment we are stuck in the middle of the road. A Jable, 40 km north of Tartus, there were 25 deaths in clashes between the army and demonstrators in recent days, as reported by the media. Last January was the branch of the family Bellucci to request the intervention of the foreign ministry to return to Italy from Tunisia, where the uprising had broken out against Ben Ali '.

SUPER CIRCUS ON WATER IN FOVAROSINAGYCIRKUSZBAN(Budapest)

"Dazzle and Wonder" is the current water fantasy production at the Capital Circus in Budapest (FOVAROSINAGYCIRKUSZ) from Apr 2 to Aug 28, 2011.

Yana Shevchenko fantasy this year will be a major show of the Circus building in Budapest. From 2 April onwards not only show on the ground, the air, but also in the water with wonderful attractions. In recent decades, without a doubt one of the greatest successes of circus 2003. and 2007th Russian guest performance garnered annual aquatic circus in Budapest. More than 250 thousand spectators saw this great show. This year even more spectacular, wonderfull and modern productions are made in the Hungarian capital. The ring is replaced with a 200 thousand liters of water in a ring pool with magical illusions, brilliant artist, cloudless humor and pretty dancers. Of course they will not miss the animals: cats, pigeons, seals, snakes and crocodiles also included in this wonderful presentation. The events and programs change each other without stopping and we guarantee that the "illusion and miracle" production is magnificent relaxation for the whole family.

Whether presented on a stage or in a ring in the classical style, in the words of Ernest Hemingway, the circus is an 'ageless delight.' Young or old, rich or poor, east or west, north or south, the circus reaches all of us.

Princess Stephanie of Monaco, the Fédération Mondiale du Cirque was established in 2008 in the Principality of Monaco with the aim of bringing together the global circus community to preserve and promote circus arts and culture around the world, smile after smile. On 16 April will be held the second World Circus (aka the fourth European Circus Day). International Day of Circus will this year mark in more than 32 countries.

DARIX TOGNI....memories...

Darix Togni became one of the most popular figures in the history of the Italian circus: He was celebrated in newspapers and magazines, he mingled with movie stars, appeared with his big cats in several "peplum" movies, and performed in foreign circuses. In 1959, the Tognis conceived a special tent structure for the first Italian tour of the Moscow Circus.
Wioris introduced several important technical improvements to the circus world, such as collapsible seating wagons and the metallic-mesh cage. In 1963, after yet another disastrous fire, Darix and Wioris conceived a revolutionary ten-pole "tension tent," the first ever quarterpole-free big top. By the 1950s, the Tognis had already introduced to the circus business the Anceschi and Canobbio families: they would become the world's leaders in the circus seating and tent imanufacturing, respectively.Here is some pictures of magnificent circus tent's of CIRCO DARIX TOGNI back in fifties and sixties of last century..

3.4.2011. CCF went to Hungary to visit dear friends in circus MEDRANO. We witnessed a great program that was prepared for the Hungarian audience and truly have enjoyed two and a half-hour in Medrano big tent.We made this video with pictures of our visit and we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we are that day in Pecs.We will visit Medrano again this sunday.We recorded a few videos just for you and it will be posted on the blog for a few days ..
