Probst, one of the oldest and most extensive international circus dynasties in the German-speaking countries. For generations, the descendants of the 1877 lead-born Karl Probst - the sixteen children had - Circus successful companies. Even in the former East Germany, which also tried the so-cosmopolitan circus art to squeeze into the state corset, knew of the extended family members maintain their independence to Probst brilliantly with a highly popular, "privately" run business. Reinhard and Robert Probst, the youngest son of "Grandpa" Karl Probst was founded in the early eighties their own, new circus, which developed within a few years to the true VTOL aircraft. Today, the travels of Reinhard Probst and his wife Brigitte managed company with a 1200-strong dome tent sites, a fleet with a total of 60 company-owned vehicles and a respectable, species-rich stock of not less than 90 animals.
